- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cracked pepper

- Set a large skillet or saute pan over medium to medium-high heat and keep the ingredients close so the cooking stays fast and even.
- 1. Place green beans in a deep skillet with enough water to nearly cover them, then bring to a boil over medium heat and cook 4-5 minutes until desired tenderness is reached.
- 2. Drain the beans completely and transfer to your serving dish, then return the empty pan to the stove.
- 3. Melt the butter in the pan over medium heat, then add garlic and slivered almonds and sauté 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
- 4. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
- 5. Pour the almond-butter mixture over the green beans, season with salt and cracked pepper, and toss everything together before serving hot.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning at the end, then serve while everything is hot or freshly chilled.
