- 1 cup packed shredded cheddar cheese
- 6-8 pickle slices
- 6 slices turkey, optional
- 1 slice cheese, optional
- 2 romaine lettuce leaves, optional
- 4 roma tomato slices, optional
- 2 slices cooked bacon, optional
- mayonnaise or mustard, optional

Cook until the thickest piece reaches 165F and the juices run clear.
- 1. Preheat oven to 375°F, line a baking sheet with parchment, and pat pickle slices dry with paper towels.
- 2. Form two rectangles on the parchment using half the shredded cheddar, then lay 3–4 pickle slices side by side across each cheese rectangle.
- 3. Cover pickles with remaining cheese, press down gently to pack together, and bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes until edges are crispy and golden.
- Cook until the thickest piece reaches 165F and the juices run clear.
- 4. Let cool slightly, then layer one slice with turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and any desired condiments, top with the second slice, and cut in half to serve.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning at the end, then serve while everything is hot or freshly chilled.
